Every setting says exactly what it does.
Your privacy choices live in Settings, written as plain sentences. Each one controls something specific — and says so.
Who can see my Last Seen
- Everyone
- My contacts
- My contacts except…
- Nobody
Choose Nobody and you won't see anyone else's Last Seen either.
Who can see when I'm online
- Everyone
- My contacts
- My contacts except…
- Nobody
A separate setting with the same fair rule: choose Nobody and you won't see when others are online.
Who can see my profile picture

Hiding your photo never changes what you see of anyone else's.
Normal, Restricted or Blocked
Set per person, from each conversation's privacy sheet
People & privacy lists everyone you've restricted or blocked, ready to lift or unblock.
Who can add me to communities
- Anyone
- Contacts
- No one
People who can't add you directly can still send you an invitation to accept or decline.
Everyone never means everyone on ihallr: it includes people you've saved, people you've messaged, and people who've saved you and messaged you. My contacts means you've saved each other.
02 · Last Seen privacy
Last Seen works both ways.
Last Seen is reciprocal, and it's controlled by your own setting. Another person's setting decides whether you can see their Last Seen — but it can't give them a view of yours. Only your setting decides that.
The rule
- 1Your setting decides who may see your Last Seen.
- 2Choose Nobody, and you won't see anyone else's Last Seen until you share yours again.
- 3Someone else's setting decides whether you see theirs — not whether they see yours.
Examples
Example 1
You choose Nobody
Maya shares her Last Seen with Everyone, but you won't see it — your own setting hides everyone's from you. Change yours, and hers can appear again.
You don't see Maya's
Example 2
You share with My contacts
You and Maya have saved each other, so Maya can see your Last Seen — as long as her own setting isn't Nobody.
Maya sees yours
Example 3
Maya chooses Nobody
No one sees Maya's Last Seen, and she doesn't see anyone else's — including yours, whatever you've chosen.
Neither of you sees Maya's

You can see Maya's Last Seen. Maya can see yours.
03 · Blocking and private communication
Blocking ends private communication — not shared spaces.
When you block someone, your one-to-one chat with them stops in both directions. Communities you share are separate: blocking doesn't remove either of you, and you can both still take part there.
Your private chat
- They can't message you, and you can't message them until you unblock.
- What they try to send is marked Not delivered on their side.
- Messages from before the block stay as they were.
- They stop seeing your Last Seen and when you're online.
- Only you see the “You blocked [name]” ticket.
A community you both belong to
- You both stay members.
- You can both still read and send messages in it.
- You can leave the community at any time if you'd rather not share it.
04 · Restrictions
Restrictions: a pause you review on your own time.
Restricting is a softer limit for one-to-one chats. Instead of stopping messages, it turns each new one into a quiet knock — a request to be heard that waits until you're ready.

You restrict someone
From the chat's privacy sheet. A “You restricted [name]” ticket appears — visible only to you — and they're told their messages will arrive as quiet knocks.

Their messages knock
You see that they knocked and when. What they said stays hidden until you review.

You review & accept
When you're ready, accept: their knocks become ordinary messages and normal conversation resumes. Or keep them restricted.

“Restriction lifted”
Accepting, or lifting the restriction from People & privacy, adds a “Restriction lifted” ticket that both of you can see.
Their new messages arrive as quiet knocks, and they're told so. Contents stay hidden until you review.

05 · Message delivery during blocking
Messages sent during a block stay undelivered.
If someone you've blocked tries to message you, it never reaches you — on their side, the message is marked Not delivered. Unblocking doesn't change that: those messages are never delivered after the fact. Only messages sent after the unblock arrive.

New messages deliver. The earlier ones stay Not delivered.
Shown from the sender's side. The person who blocked them never receives the messages sent during the block.
06 · Transparency through history tickets
A permanent record, shown to the right people.
Blocks, unblocks and restrictions leave permanent history tickets in the conversation. They record what happened and when, they're shown only to the people they concern, and they don't disappear — not even when you clear the chat.
